I haven’t blogged seriously in a long time, save for those sports blogs and movie reviews. It has been a hectic couple of months. My social life has gone down close to nil. Maybe one day I’m going to sit down and write, everything that has happened during this training.
One thing is for certain, you’ll learn to appreciate the little things in life once you’ve entered the “real world”. You can only realize how simple life is before you went to work. What did you care for then? get good grades, get to class in time, behave, the existence of holidays, make sure to ask for your weekly allowance and sleep without setting an alarm. You had the luxury of taking everything for granted. Now, when you make a mistake, it will be disastrous, and the ripples just reach places you didn’t intend it to go. Now, you have bills to pay, sometimes you even don’t have time for yourself.
The proper human reaction would be holding everything you have close to you, because when you are in the thick of things, you might get lost in the chaos.
Another realization is, I now have an appreciation for the common 8-5 employee. Guys you have to realize you are the luckiest bastards out there. You can just get in get out and get paid. The cycle just continues. I used to despise that kind of work thinking of myself as above average. In connection to that, I now appreciate the weekends and the holidays.
I almost forgot to mention, I did a five minute presentation on blogging a couple of weeks back, I wonder if anyone in the audience started a blog.
